No, it’s not Fergie the pop star that’s doling out the marriage advice to the Royals, but Duchess Fergie herself who has put in her two cents on what Kate Middleton should expect if she marries Prince William. Though he hasn’t popped the question yet, there’s much speculation that the ensuing months could see the announcement of a royal engagement, with a royal wedding to happen in November 2010.

Having been married to Prince Andrew for ten years (and having undergone a very public divorce), Duchess Fergie had this advice to consider for Kate Middleton before swapping wedding rings: “Remember that you are marrying a beautiful man that you are in love with and remember to make time for him, because I didn’t. Andrew and I spent 40 days together for the first five years of our marriage. I didn’t know that would be the case, but i figured it out two weeks after I was married.”
There has been much speculation about the longterm couple’s prospective engagement after two consecutive days in early June have been blotted out on the royal calendar, causing some to think that they were reserved for a royal engagement announcement. Some also think that Buckingham Palace is planning for a royal wedding to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012–the sixtieth anniversary of her coronation.
