Katie Price, known in the UK as tabloid-superstar and British model, Jordan, tied the knot this week with her cage-fighting, martial-arts fighter boyfriend, Alex Reid.
Price and Reid issued joint statements after the ceremony, saying “We’re very much in love.” This secret ceremony was in contrast to the tabloid hijinx and pomp which surrounded Price’s extravagant previous wedding to Australian singer, Peter Andre. In that wedding, Price and Andre were perched on thrones and oversaw a lavish ceremony at Highclere Castle complete with Cinderella carriage. In stark contrast, publicists noted that Price’s wedding to Reid this week was a “private, simple ceremony.”, a quiet affair. Quiet? With Katie Price? In Vegas?
Speculation that Price and Reid were getting hitched was rampant in UK tabloids over the weekend. The couple, conspicuously in Vegas over the weekend, could not escape the paparazzi as rumors spread that they were searching for engagement rings over the weekend.
Their wedding in Vegas may have been quiet and simple, but their hotel sure wasn’t. Staying at the lavish and over-the-top Planet Hollywood hotel, which has housed previous guests such as Cher and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Price and Reid might have paid up to $7,600 a night for their room.
With tabloid-star Price, of course, no ceremony or outing is completely quiet. A film crew and photogrpahers were onhand to document the wedding of the model and the cage-fighter.
