Kate Perry and Russell Brand might be one of those exes like Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter that will hang out later when the dust settles. The divorce preceedings have been amicable and both of them seem ready to move on and just put it all in the past.
Because the couple got married in Califorinia, Brand was entitled to 50 percent of Perry’s earnings last year, which for Brand would mean a $20 million dollar paycheck. Brand did not seek out the money, which says a lot about him actually, and the couple did not even make it to court, every thing was done smoothly with just their lawyers.
Perry even signed the divorce papers with a smiley face. Wouldn’t it be awesome if all divorce proceedings when like this? Especially couples that have children.
All in all the two are ready to get back to their single life. I applaud their grace, a divorce can get so ugly so fast.
