Miley Cyrus may be a young woman, a mere 19, but her soon to be hubby, Liam Hemsworth, 22 has the money to give her a very grown up and unique ring. The couple who have been dating for almost three years got engaged recently, shocking a lot of people, considering their age.
But we are not here to talk about this child bride, we are here to talk about bling…and this is one beautifully dazzling engagement ring. The Neil Lane stunner is 3.5 carats, and yellow gold. I love that he chose gold because it seems to be on its way out when it comes to engagement rings. The diamond is cushion cut and has quite the history, from People, Neil Lane:
“It was hand-cut around 1880 or 1890 and it’s unique and in its original form,” Lane says. “At that time no two diamonds were alike, as they were all hand-cut, so it’s fascinating to look at because it hasn’t been re-cut to look contemporary over the years. I find that really romantic.”
Lane, you’re right, that is very romantic. The band and prongs are also unique, it has intricately carved diamond floral motifs and the prongs don’t have that traditional hook look, making the whole ring look more like a dainty flower. I find this ring absolutely stunning.
Hemsworth helped design the ring with the famous jeweler making it even more special and intimate. I have to say, out of all the rings I have seen this year so far…this may be my favorite.
