After Madonna of course came Robin Wright. The two quickly started a family and got married in 1996. Through the years, like any marriage, and especially one in the public eye, its been a tough time for both of them. They briefly broke up in the late 90’s and then got back together. Then in 2007 they filed for divorce, but again, got back together. But it looks like this is going to be the last time.
Wright filed for divorce for the second time, and this time for keeps. They did not work out their differences this time and the divorce was finalized in 2010. Well, it seems that Sean Penn may be a tad bitter over the ordeal. While the star is still in Haiti helping all the people who are trying to recover from the terrible earthquake, Penn spoke to the Hollywood Reporter recently, where he shares his sadness over not being able to raise his son as a family through his last year in high school. He bitterly shares about his break up with Wright: “ I just got taken for one half of everything I had in the divorce.”
We do not know how true this is, but we can say that Penn is still emotionally raw after going through such an ordeal. Wright does not seem to be worried about the comment and has been spotted around Hollywood very much single. This seems to be it for these two, which is such a shame. But, maybe apart they will grow into the two individuals they seek.
