Tweed shared that her father passed when she was 24, in memory of him and the fact that they were so close, she got his wedding ring melted down and put in two strands in Simmons wedding ring that represents their two children. A truly awesome sentiment, something that will surely be cherished.
The couple also got their wedding rings engraved. His says: “ My love now and forever” while hers “You are my first love and you will be my last love.” The bride wore a stunning Priscilla of Boston gown and then changed into a Badgley Mischka for the reception where 400 guests attended to celebrate the couples special day.
Gene Simmons was famously against marriage and hated the prospect of it for decades. The rock and roll couple’s fights on marriage was something that can clearly be seen on their A&E reality show. But after all those years he shares that he has no clue why he was so worried, he says: “I look at my wedding band now and think, ‘What was I afraid of all this time?’”
They truly do look happy and good for her, she has stood by him for so many years and he finally gave her the one thing she really wanted and deserved. Good for them, lets hope they embrace this new step in their lives, while keeping all the fun of their old one!
