Angelina Jolie’s New Jewelry Collection For Charity

Angelina Jolie is one of the most famous women in the world, a top Hollywood starlet that is married to another top Hollywood star, Brad Pitt. The two scream A-list and have the resume to prove it. But aside from all the movies she makes, the actress is very committed to helping children around the world. So in her continuing venture as a humanitarian she released “Style of Jolie.”


Jolie deigned the collection over nine months with jeweler Robert Procop. The gems are being displayed at Julien’s Gallery in Beverly Hills, Jolie will not make an appearance and the exhibition is invite only.

All the proceeds from the sales of the beautiful jewelry will be going to Children of Crisis, the charity of her choice.

Brad Pitts New Diamond Style

Brad Pitt is always being stalked by the paparazzi, so there is no surprise that when he does or wears or says something it will be reported for all the world to see. The one thing that will not be reported for a longtime is the fact that Pitt is wearing a wedding ring, right?  We all know how the famous couple, Pitt and Angelina Jolie feel about getting married. At first they did not want to wed because they felt it was unfair that the gay and lesbian community were not allowed, and now the tune is softening, first of all, we know they worry about their children asking questions. Jolie shares:

“ ‘Usually people fall in love and everything revolves around the ritual of marriage, children are an afterthought. We did everything backwards. But sooner or later it will be the kids who ask us to get married. You know, they see films and start asking questions. Such as, ‘Why are Shrek and his love Fiona married and you’re not?’ ”

Are they getting one step closer? Reports of their upcoming marriage have been going on for years, and speculation has increased the more children they adopt. Now, maybe they are preparing us for the future. Jolie has designed a gold and diamond necklace with a private message lasered on. Supposedly she told him that he not take it off unless he really has to…kind of like a ring? Hmm..getting the old man comfortable with commitment maybe?

Who knows, these two are as weird as you can get. I understand that Hollywood and the whole entire world are obsessed with them, but it still will always rub me the wrong way. For one, he was married…very married to Jennifer Aniston, then he leaves her, just like that? Fast! Jolie and Pitt were already together during the middle of making the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. This is the guy you go for? Who may just turn around and do the same thing to you? I am so confused.

Regardless the necklace has a private message that only Pitt, Jolie and of course the person who engraved it will ever know. The necklace is a sturdy yellow gold with some serious shimmer. Whether this is a clue to on upcoming nuptials we don’t know. But we have a feeling it may really be something. There hasn’t been much jewelry representation in this relationship so a little something goes a long way.

Angelina Jolie: I’m Not Pregnant

They haven’t exchanged engagement rings (yet), but they do have six kids…and word is they’re not looking for anymore. And so Angelina Jolie squashed reports that she is pregnant once again with Brad Pitt’s child. A source within the Jolie camp has called the news reports claiming that the actress is pregnant with her seventh child as “totally false”.

Jolie is currently in Venice, Italy shooting The Tourist with Johnny Depp. Brad Pitt has joined her there, as well as the Jolie-Pitt kids and their grandparents. Eager Italian paparazzi snapped away as 1 1/2 year-old Knox took his daily breath of fresh air in his grandparent’s arms on the balcony of the Italian villa where the Jolie-Pitts are staying. No sight of his fair-haired twin sister, though.

The outspoken politically-focused actress also had a few choice words for those eager to adopt Haitian children in the wake of the Haitian earthquake. “An emergency is not the time for new adoptions in any way. Child trafficking has been a huge problem for a very long time. Everybody that means well needs to really take that very seriously.”

Jewelry Trends of the Stars

Over the past year, celebrities have been sporting some unusual and exotic jewelry choices. Superstars such as Madonna and Angelina Jolie, known for their sense of fashion, were spotted wearing snake necklaces and snake rings, as well as the always fashionable diamond-studded crucifix, which has been worn since the eighties. Diamond necklaces also seem to be all the rage, worn in variations by other superstars such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Pink.

Chandelier earrings and diamond tennis bracelets have been spotted on Carrie Underwood, Sarah Jessica Parker, America Ferrara and Kate Winslet. Sometimes less is more and these items reveal a simple, elegant and flexible style.

On the red carpet recently, we’ve seen a bevy of items, including Tiffany-style necklaces, chunky designer-style cable bracelets, and celebrity-quality engagement rings.

There’s also been a celebrity baby boom over the past two years, with Angelina Jolie, J-Lo, Halle Berry, Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Alba all sporting maternal jewelry, which is perhaps more understated but nevertheless quite elegant. All these stars have spotted during pregnancy with simple clover necklaces or diamond stud earrings, which have a timeless appeal.

Keeping your eye on the jewelry worn by celebrities gracing the red carpet can be a good way to get a sense of the the current jewelry trends and get a sneak peek at what’s going to be hitting stores in a season or two. As one of the biggest red carpet events, the Oscars, takes over TV screens next month, you may just see what is about to become a popular fashion trend.

Obviously the Oscars is Hollywood’s most prestigious event, but it is also the best event to witness celebrities covered in vintage, contemporary and costume jewelry. From diamonds to platinum, and scads of colorful gemstones, the Oscars invite some bold and glamorous jewelry trends to the red carpet, with designers eager to catch the public eye.

In year’s past, diamonds and platinum have typically ruled the roost at the Oscars. For instance, no one could forget Nicole Kidman’s or Angelina Jolie’s previous diamond ensembles. There have, however, been more recent trends towards colorful jewelry to accent the red carpet ensembles. Jolie, Amy Adams, Heidi Klum and Phoebe Cates have all previously accessorized with colorful, vibrant gemstones on the red carpet.

With the Oscars only days away, everyone will be ready to take note of the jewelry the stars are wearing.

Brad and Angelina Show the Love at Sunday’s Super Bowl

New Orleans supporters, Brad Pitt and Angelina, wer sure to show the love at Sunday’s Super Bowl.  And the love wasn’t only for New Orleans.  After weeks of intense tabloid scrutiny and reports that their relationship was over, Brad and Angelina had something to prove Sunday night, as they embraced, kissed and cheered their team on.

Though the couple are one of those non-traditional Hollywood couples that refuses to buy engagement rings and tie the knot, they do share a love for adoption, have several kids of their own and both partook in renovating New Orleans after the catastrophic Hurricane Katrina.

Pitt runs the Make It Right Project, which focused on redeveloping the Hurricane-ravaged Ninth Ward.  It has been met with much praise by community developers, architects and political leaders as an exemplary contribution to the reconstruction efforts which have been responsible for rebuilding New Orleans.

Pitt and Jolie are also planning to sue the News of the World over “false allegations about their relationship”.  The couple have issued a legal statement that asserts they are not about to split and that reports to the contrary were false and intrusive.
