‘Lost’ Actress Gets Married in Hawaii

‘Lost’ star Yunjin Kim has just stumbled upon the man of her dreams…and married him!  The South Korean actress, Sun Kwon, married her boyfriend Jeong Hyeok Park in Hawaii this past weekend.  Though born in Seoul, Kim originally grew up on Staten Island.  Hyeok Park is her former manager.   According to one close source, “She always said she wanted to get married when ‘Lost’ ended.”

The hit ABC show, ‘Lost’, which has had viewers glued to their screens for four years now because of it’s puzzling plotline, is also filmed in Hawaii.  In a 2007 interview, Kim revealed that she had grown to love Hawaii.  “It truly is a magical place.  I feel at home.”

Kim was actually filming some of her final scenes for ‘Lost’ (which is in it’s last season) in Oahu on Saturday, only a day before her wedding.

There were no glimpses of her sure-to-be ravishing wedding rings or gowns–and not even a snapshot of the ultra-exclusive service and after-party.  Kim did wed as her character (Sun) last year, wearing an amazing Paloma Blanca wedding gown.

We don’t all have so much cash to blow on extravagant weddings…but most Hollywood stars do!  Maybe you can take some tips from some of Hollywood’s rich and famous,producing your very own fairytale wedding for a fraction of the price.  After you get those engagement and wedding rings all set, perhaps from the Tacori collection, then get set to produce the best wedding possible, just like the stars.

Their decadent wedding came at a cost of $3.5 million and featured Michael Jackson as Best Man and Elizabeth Taylor as Maid of Honor. Celebrities who attended included Diana Ross, Mia Farrow, and Lauren Bacall and Tony Bennett entertained VIP guests with a sixty-piece back-up orchestra. Guests feasted on a 12-tier wedding cake and were also given personalized favors in satin-covered candy boxes that read “Liza and David 4 Ever”. The couple divorced a year later, amidst allegations that Minnelli would beat Gest in drunken rampages.

And Woods pulled out all the stops with the after-party, which included a huge fireworks display and entertainment by Hootie and the Blowfish.

The all-star pair wanted to appear as the King and Queen over the evening–and of course their wish was granted. Like Woods extravagant wedding, the Beckhams had a fireworks display and musical entertainment, this time by icon Elton John.

Bethenny Frankel Getting Married This Week

The wait is over.  “Real Housewives of New York” star, Bethenny Frankel, who always wears the most simple and understated diamond jewelry,  is getting married this week in an intimate affair that will surely be extravagant and private.  The “Housewife” got was spotted shopping for engagement rings earlier this year, but was staying mum about wedding details until the last minute.  Frankel held her bridal shower this Sunday in New York at Bagatelle and was joined by twenty of her closest friends, including only one “Real Housewives” castmate, Alex McCord.

Bethenny FrankelBethenny is also set to be a pregnant bride and is now showing off her baby bump, with the baby expected in June.  She got on her Twitter just this week to post, “I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M HAVING A BABY!  I had a dream it was a girl.  And the wedding countdown is here.  6 days.”  We’ll surely hear about in the press if she’s right on that one!

Frankel will host her wedding at the Four Seasons Restaurant in NYC on Sunday, March 28th.  And it will be a black tie affair, including only her closest family and friends.  Two  of her “Real Housewives” co-stars are expected to attend–McCord and Ramona Singer.  (We can certainly more cat-fights this season, I trust!) “There will be about 70 people, her closest friends, so it’s going to be small and intimate.” Singer says.

Frankel also promises for the wedding to be “a classic New York wedding, very sophisticated, understated…with great food and great dancing.” She also revealed they’ll have cotton candy.

So what can we expect for the wedding rings and gowns?  Classic Neil Lane? Red-carpet favorite Monique Lhuillier?  Wait and see!

David Schwimmer Engaged: A Friend engaged

Former “Friends” star David Schwimmer, 43, just announced his engagement with the much younger London-based photographer, Zoe Buckman, who is 24. Schwimmer played Dr. Ross Gellar on the hot sitcom, and one of the plotlines was always whether Ross and Rachel, played by superstar Jennifer Aniston, would ever fall in love and get married. Schwimmer and Buckman met in London in 2007 while he was directing the flick, Run Fatboy Run. While paparazzi cameras have been peeled for shots of engagement rings, none of have been spotted just yet. But, considering the cast of Friends was making a million dollars each per episode during the last season, we can expect the ring to be impressive.

The news comes on the heels of Aniston’s press tour for The Bounty Hunter. When David Letterman asked about the engagement, Aniston responded that she had no clue who he got engaged to.

The engagement news has caused some bloggers to note that the wedding would effectively be a “Friends” reunion if all stars showed up, especially the more high profile ones like Aniston and Courtney Cox, now starring in her own hit sitcom, Cougar Town.  Whenever the wedding is, it will surely be widely covered if the entire cast of “Friends” shows up.

Nicole Richie’s Exclusive Wedding Plans

News of the engagement between Nicole Richie and Joel Madden hit the tabloids this week, after Richie’s announcement on Letterman.  Now everyone’s wondering: what kind of wedding will it be?  We haven’t gotten a really good look at the sizable engagement ring yet.  And the always fashionable Richie can almost be assured to wear a lot of lavish jewelry to her wedding, though it is possible the wedding could be very understated and simple.  Friends of the couple reveal that a simple and classic ceremony is in the works.  And there are no plans to invite Richie’s former party-girl BFF, Paris Hilton.

“Nicole wants to keep the ceremony to close friends and family.  It will be traditional with a simple white dress and very private.” A Richie friend confided.  “Both parents want their two beautiful children—daughter Harlow (2) and son Sparrow (5 months)—to be involved in the service where Nicole’s famous father Lionel Richie will give her away.  However, old BFF Paris Hilton will not be a bridesmaid.”

So come summer we might expect a more demure wedding from this couple…perhaps only a few hundred guests, ten bridesmaids, and a $2 million engagement ring. It won’t happen without a press release.
