Millions of teen girls are now putting on their finest make-up and taking their Jonas Brothers tee-shirts out of the closet because Joe Jonas is now a single man again! News has just hit the net that Jonas and girlfriend Demi Lovato have split amicably, though the pair still plan to tour together later in the summer. The dynamic duo met on the set of Camp Rock in 2007 and admitted they were dating last March. Jonas said their friendship became a romance “after the movie was complete, then we kinda took the time to get to know each other a little deeper.”
Lovato added, “I’m fortunate that I get to work with the person that I’m in a relationship with. Rather than being across the country and texting him, I can have him hold my hand when I’m tired.”
The Jonas Brothers are famously celibate until marriage, getting Purity rings just a few years ago. Brother Kevin Jonas was the first to exchange wedding rings late last year.
Meanwhile, Lovato and Jonas spent today shooting down rumors and confirming that they’re still friends, with Jonas adding “I will continue to be her friend and be there for her.”
