New Book Reveals New Insight into Tiger and Elin Marriage

A new biography reveals some shocking details about the relationship between Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren. Like the golf star wasn’t even liked by his future wife. Woods had to ask Nordegren out five times before she finally accepted. Even after this extended pre-copurtship, Elin wasn’t even sure she liked Woods. Steve Helling, a staff writer at People Magazine, wrote Tiger: The Real Story and reveals “Elin was not the type of young woman to date Tiger Woods, at least not at first. For one thing, she had a boyfriend at home in Sweden. He was a normal, decent guy, driving a forklift in a warehouse. If things worked out with him, her life would be safe and predictable, an option that Elin found extremely appealing.”
The book reveals the courtship period of the Elin-Tiger relationship, their marriage and the eventual scandal. Dating Tiger Woods, the book says, would be the opposite of her quaint and stable relationship with the forklift operator: “Paparazzi and tabloids would be around every corner, and Elin couldn’t bear the thought of such an invasion of privacy. Besides, she really didn’t find Tiger attractive; he simply wasn’t her type.”

Another revealing detail is that the golf legend got a friend to ask Nordegren out for him while working for pro golfer Jesper Parnevik. According to a source, “She thought it was so weird and pathetic. Of course she said no.”

Tiger grew more persistent each time Elin turned him down. The pro golfer was not one to be turned down and eventually Elin agreed to one casual date with him, reportedly to get him off her back. Elin came to like Tiger and began to feel that he was not a celebrity. She was surprised to be falling for him so quickly.

Another intriguing detail is how the couple got engaged. Elin and Tiger got engaged while on safari in South Africa. Apparently the pair wandered off and freaked out the ranger, who didn’t know where they had gone off to. When they returned, Elin was sporting a massive engagement ring. “The diamond was half as big as my finger.” The ranger said.

Tiger and Elin Headed for Divorce?

Things aren’t going so well for Tiger Woods. With a failed comeback to golf, a ridiculous Nike commercial, and now his coach of six years quitting via text, Woods isn’t quite having the comeback he hoped for. And rumor is that things may just continue on the downward slope as Elin Nordegren is reportedly planning to divorce Woods. Apparently no amount of private yachts, island getaways or diamonds can convince her to stay!

A source reportedly said that despite couples therapy, things just aren’t boding well for the couple. “They don’t fight. There is a coldness between them and it’s Elin who is pulling the plug on the marriage. She has tried to put things back together. She went to therapy with Tiger. She gave it a shot moving forward.” The source went on to say that Elin is willing to share custody of the children with Tiger.

Other sources have told celebrity gossip sites like TMZ that the most important thing for both Elin and Tiger is keeping the terms of the divorce confidential. Nordegren also went to Sweden with her children and some speculate that divorce proceedings may be filed there.

We don’t all have so much cash to blow on extravagant weddings…but most Hollywood stars do! Maybe you can take some tips from some of Hollywood’s rich and famous,producing your very own fairytale wedding for a fraction of the price. After you get those engagement and wedding rings all set, perhaps from the Tacori collection, then get set to produce the best wedding possible, just like the stars.

	Holding the title for one of the most expensive recorded Hollywood weddings is the wedding between Liza Minnelli and David Gest. Their decadent wedding came at a cost of $3.5 million and featured Michael Jackson as Best Man and Elizabeth Taylor as Maid of Honor. Celebrities who attended included Diana Ross, Mia Farrow, and Lauren Bacall and Tony Bennett entertained VIP guests with a sixty-piece back-up orchestra. Guests feasted on a 12-tier wedding cake and were also given personalized favors in satin-covered candy boxes that read “Liza and David 4 Ever”. The couple divorced a year later, amidst allegations that Minnelli would beat Gest in drunken rampages.
	Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren. Before there were any mistress allegations, this couple were in love and ready to tie the knot at the exclusive Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados. Woods actually rented the entire hotel and the island’s only helicopter charter company to ensure maximum privacy. Among the 120 guests were basketball all-stars Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. And Woods pulled out all the stops with the after-party, which included a huge fireworks display and entertainment by Hootie and the Blowfish.
	Victoria and David Beckham. Forbes Magazine reported a pricetag merger was a cool $800,000 for this mogul merger. The all-star pair wanted to appear as the King and Queen over the evening–and of course their wish was granted. Posh wore a tight-fitting ivory silk gown with a twenty-foot train and a gold diamond-encrusted tiara. Like Woods extravagant wedding, the Beckhams had a fireworks display and musical entertainment, this time by icon Elton John.

If you’re looking for some ideas on where to go for your honeymoon, then why not take some advice from some of Hollywood’s biggest stars? Once you have gotten those engagement and wedding rings in place, don’t go cheap when it comes down to finding a romantic locale that you’ll remember for a lifetime.

	Debra Messing and screenwriter Daniel Zelman. This “Will and Grace” and her new husband went to the private and opulent Santa Barbara Bacara Resort after their wedding in 2000. Sipping champagne and heading to the beach, they definitely seemed to be having the time of their lives.
	Elvis and Priscilla Presley. They were the world’s most famous couple at the time, and their honeymoon definitely matched their fame in terms of romance. At first staying at the Aladdin Hotel in Beverly Hills for their honeymoon, they moved to 1350 Ladera Circle in Palm Springs, California, which is now available for rental.
	Clark Gable and Carol Lombard. This couple from the Golden Age of Hollywood spent their honeymoon at the Ingleside Inn in Palm Springs, California.
	Britney Spears and Jason Allen Alexander. Though this 24-hour marriage was quickly annulled, the “Crazy” singer wed a high school friend in a Vegas chapel, after which the couple hot the casinos and partied till dawn.

	Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd. Before J-Lo was J-Lo, and before her romance with Ben Affleck and marriage to Mark Antony, she wed Cris Judd. The pair honeymooned in George Clooney’s favorite hot spot, Lake Como in Italy, a scenic northern Italian locale.
	Natalie Imbruglia and Daniel Johns. This pop singer, best known for her late nineties single, “Torn”, wed Silverchair singer Daniel Johns at the Thala Beach Lodge, before heading out for a romantic Australian honeymoon.
	Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer. This pair set out for a honeymoon in the rustic Australian outback after their wedding at Crowe’s Australian ranch.

	Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. Honeymooning in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, at the Esperanza Resort, this chic couple enjoyed Mexican clay spa treatments with aphrodicisacs, a delicious menu with authentic Mexican fare, and of course the beautiful beaches.
	Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The pair had only divorced sixteen months earlier, but decided to remarry at the exclusive Chobe Game Lodge in Botswana. Featuring individual private swimming pools, a famous game reserve and “love canopy” beds. As luxurious as the honeymoon was, however, the pair lasted less than a year.
	Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren. Before the golfer hooked up with a slew of mistresses, he paid nearly $1.5 million to marry Swedish model Elin Nordegren in a lavish wedding. The two celebrated their honeymoon at the scenic Sandy Lane resort in Barbados.

In today’s world of movers and shakers, getting a prenuptial agreement is becoming increasingly more common, with spouses making sure their needs are met in pre-disclosed legal arrangements. It’s more about getting what you want after getting your choice of decadent designer engagement rings—and some couples can be very specific! Check out some of the world’s most ridiculous prenuptial agreements to see how demanding some marriages can be.

Britney Spears apparently believed so much in her undying love with Keven Federline that she originally didn’t want to get a pre-nup. But then all her celebrity friends insisted that she get one, including Donald Trump. Ultimately Spears did have her lawyers devise a pre-nup, which assured that Federline with $1 million. Thankfully this pre-nup was devised because otherwise Federline could have taken a huge sum of Spears’ hard-earned fortune.

Construction worker Larry Fortensky found a way to make his marriage pay. Before marrying superstar actress Elizabeth Taylor, the couple devised a pre-nup that stated Fortensky would receive $1 million after five years of marriage, regardless of whether the couple divorced or not.

	Reality star Khloe Kardashian indicated in her prenup that she wanted a flat sum of about $500,000 for each year they were married, $25,000 a month in general support, their new house, a new luxury vehicle at the ned of every lease cycle, $5,000 a month for shopping, $1,000 a month for beauty care, and courtside Laker’s tickets for her and her family. Geez!
	One prenup not only indicated the number of times the couple was to have sex per week, but also the positions tried. The “reverse cowboy” twice a week? Okay, I guess!
	Some couples have required there spouses to perform random drug tests. And if the results came back positive, they would have to start paying!
	According to one attorney, some couples have drafted into their pre-nup that they would be able to opt out of all vacations with their in-laws. Why bother!
	After his disastrous affairs with several mistresses was revealed, Tiger Wood’s retooled his prenup agreement to give wife Elin Nordegren incentive to stay. Apparently, Elin was offered $5 million immediately if she agreed to stay and eventually $55 million if she stayed another two years. Not bad!
	One woman indicated she wanted to limit her husband to watching only one football game per week.
	When football star Tony Romo and Jessica Simspson were still together, there was much talk about an engagement. Some sources said that Romo might’ve wanted to include a “porker clause” in their pre-nup, which would theoretically state that if Simpson weighed more than 135 pounds during their marriage, she would have to pay him $500K. Stay away from the buffallo wings, Jessica!
	Superstar Nicole Kidman apparently had no original pre-nup with country crooner Keith Urban. But as her advisors insisted, Kidman arranged that Urban would get approximately $640K per year married if she and Urban divorced. There was one catch, however. Urban was a former drug addict and if it was found that he relapsed, then he wouldn’t receive a penny.
	Rumors were splashed across the tabloids regarding Katie Holmes’ and Tom Cruise’s pre-nup. They settled on agreement where Holmes would get a sizable sum–$3 million per year married. But after eleven years, Holmes would inherit half of Cruise’s mega-fortune. Almost there, Katie!
	One woman drafted a pre-nup that stated she could use her husband’s frequent-flier miles if he were ever to be caught cheating. Um…okay?
	One of the more odd pre-nups provided that the wife be allowed to own as many pets as she wish. Sounds like a cat lady in the making.
	The divorce between Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards was particularly messy, with tabloid fights and endless character attacks. But fortunately there was a pre-nup in place which kept all financial matters on track. The most interesting part of their pre-nup was that Richards would receive a $4 million bonus if Sheen ever cheated on her. Cha-ching!
	Another crazed pre-nup included a payout of $100,000 every time the spouse was caught cheating. Time to cash in.
	One weight-obsessed husband insisted that his wife never weigh more than 120 pounds. If she did, he’d punish her with a penalty of $100,000. Stay away from the ice cream!
	Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones also included cheating as a factor in their pre-nup. Not only does Zeta-Jones get a big chunk–$2.8 million per year married–but she also gets $5 million if Douglas was ever caught cheating. The former philanderer (and over twenty years older) Douglas hasn’t been caught yet, so this couple may be in it for the long-haul.
	The Head of General Electric might have wanted to consider better lawyers–he could certainly afford them, right? General Electric Head Jack Welch and wife Jane Beasley Welch had a very detailed pre-nup devised. However, Jane included a “sunset clause” in the pre-nup which effectively abolished the pre-nup after ten years of marriage. And then Jane took off with a cool $150 million!
	According to attorney Leon F. Bennett, who has represented Marlon Brando and Dennis Hopper, he once represented a case where a couple’s taxidermied horse was mentioned in the pre-nup.
	One crazy pre-nup can sometimes be to not get one! As the reigning queen of television for most of the nineties, Roseanne Barr made the worst error by firing her lawyer for suggesting she get a pre-nup when she married Tom Arnold in 1990. Four years later, she paid for it dearly when their messy divorce cost her $50 million.

Howard Stern Pageant Winner Receives “Mistress Ring”

So we’ve all heard of wedding and engagement rings, but “mistress rings”? It’s the new thing! Shock jock Howard Stern held a beauty pageant of Tiger Woods’ alleged mistresses today on his show. Of course, not all mistresses attended. Winner, and alleged Woods mistress, Jamie Jungers received a prize of $100,000 from the Ashley Madison website, and also a black diamond “mistress ring”. The jeweler Steven Singer, best known for his “I hate Steven Singer” campaigns, created the 3.5 carat black diamond ring for the winner of the pageant. Pageant contestants competed in categories such as the “bikini” category and “talent” category. Jungers edged out competitors Loredana Jolie Ferriolo and Jaimee Grubbs. The shock jock and his co-hosts decided for Jungers to take the cash prize and “mistress ring”.

Elin Never Asked for an Apology from Woods

There was a rumor that Elin Nordegren demanded Tiger Wood’s recent public apology, but a source close to both Nordegren and Woods denies the rumor. Despite having made a lengthy apology on his website (twice), issuing Friday’s apology to everyone including his sponsors, putting his golf career on indefinite hold, and going off to rehab for 45 days, Tiger Woods still seems dejected and humbled by the overwhelming scrutiny on his personal life. To fuel the scrutiny, Nordegren was spotted at a high-profile event without her wedding rings. Following that incident, the story was featured on the cover of several tabloids.

“Elin has been very angry and had every right to be angry at him,” A source close to the couple confided. “She never demanded he make the apology, but it was a gesture he was willing to do.” The couple flew out of Orlando via private jet to Arizona the night following Tiger’s public apology.

According to a friend, Nordegren’s top priority right now is the children. She doesn’t want the children to sense “a split or animosity between them”, the friend revealed. The source added that “If it weren’t for the kids and their future, she would be long gone.”

Tiger’s Public Apology: Will Elin Be By His Side?

This Friday Tiger Woods will make an announcement that will serve as a public apology for his transgressions, as well as answer questions about his future in golf. But everybody’s wondering: Will Elin be by his side? When Kobe Bryant admitted infidelity in 2003, he issued a teary-eyed apology and his wife Vanessa flaunted an 8-carat, $4 million purple diamond ring on her finger.

The embattled golfer is set to issue the public statement on Friday morning in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Woods was not photographed or seen by the paparazzi since the news of his infidelities broke, until this week when he was caught jogging near his home in Orlando. Elin, however, has been spotted several times—including skiing abroad. Some outlets even report that she was spotted visiting Woods at a sex rehab clinic in Mississippi.

So will Elin be by Tiger’s side sporting a multi-million dollar apology diamond ring? Maybe it will be accompanied by diamond studs and necklaces? One thing we know for sure—whether she’s there or not, all eyes will be on how Tiger is compensating Elin.

Tiger Woods Buys Wife a New Boat

It takes a lot to make up for all the alleged infidelities that have stacked up on Tiger Wood’s end. When the news broke out, it seemed like a cocktail waitress in every major American city was coming out to claim they slept with Tiger. And now, after much speculation that Tiger was going to lose his wife, Elin Nordegren, he has bought her a 61-foot, $2 to $3 million boat aptly christened Solitude.

So no new engagement rings, no new private houses, and no divorce. Instead Nordegren is appeased with this new, state-of-the-art boat, docked at the Pirate’s Cove Resort & Marina, only ten minutes ride from Jupter Island and his future estate. Nordegren reportedly loves diving, and Solitude is made specifically for that.

Friends of Woods and Nordegren hope that the boat will represent a new phase for the couple, who have countered divorce allegations with pleas for privacy. The friend says, “Maybe the boat will represent a new beginning for Tiger and Elin. Romantic sea air can do wonders for a troubled marriage.”

The couple had reportedly done a lot of diving in the early years of their marriage and it is assumed that they may want to return to going underwater and spending time secluded from the hoards of paparazzi anxious to get a picture of the couple.
