The Philadelphia Phillies were the 2008 World Series Champions–and they just now received their diamond and gold championship rings. In front of a group of more than 44,000, the Philadelphia received their world championship rings in a 20-minute pre-game ceremony at Citizen Bank Park in Philadelphia. And it’s not just the players who receive rings, but coaches, managers and trainers, as well.
Here are the illustrious stats: Each 14k ring is equipped with 103 diamonds, with an overall weight of 3.84 carats. There’s a bit of symbolism at play, as the 103 diamonds represent the 92 regular season and 11 post-season wins for the Phillies in 2008. The Phillies signature “P” is featured with inset diamonds, while the top of the ring has a ruby inlay and the title “World Champions” is written along the top and bottom outer rim.

37 rings were presented and Chief Executive Officer, David Montgomery, had this to say about the experience: “A World Series Championship ring is a most prized possession. We wanted to present our players and others in the Phillies organization with a meaningful tribute that appropriately commemorates bringing a World Championship to Philadelphia. I believe this ring certainly does that.”
